2015 – Highlights of a Year of Beautiful Weddings!

I think I say this every year but what an amazing year it has been! Not only has it been my busiest year to date with lots of weddings, babies and engagements but I have also had the fun (and a lot of sleepless nights) of a very loud bouncy baby myself!

It has been such an honour to be a part of so many amazing wedding days and I am truly blessed to have had such amazingly cool couples to work with. Thank you all for making me feel welcomed and a part of your special days, there has been so much laughter (and a few tears!) and I have left every wedding feeling like I have been almost part of a new family for the day. I am so so lucky to love my job and can’t wait for all the wedding buzz to start again in 2016.

I will let the photos do the talking with my highlights of 2015, scrolling fingers at the ready…

Durham School Wedding Photography – Rosie & Andrew

Rosie and Andrew came all the way from Australia for their wedding which was held in the chapel at Durham School where Rosie was once a pupil. Their wedding was such a pleasure to photograph and the super relaxed couple made my job very easy indeed!

I love Rosie’s floral headpiece, made by the very talented Platinum Flowers, and the fact that the entire bridal party sat down for a picnic after the service and before the bridal party shots. While the rest of the guests were sent on to The Golden Lion in Hartlepool for afternoon tea and champagne, with speeches, cake and dancing into the evening.

The whole day was filled with laughter and the happiness of the bride and groom really was infectious. I love it when there is plenty of time for shots of just the couple, and Rosie and Andrew where happy to take their time and were so comfortable in front of the camera that I ended up giving them lots of choice it was so hard to choose the best for the album. Here is a selection that was just as hard to whittle down to just these few!
