I ❤️ Autumn Weddings

Kayleigh & Will – Jesmond Dene House

We got our photos today. No idea how we are going to narrow them down for the album as there are so many beautiful photos! Alice has done an amazing job and we have loved reliving our wedding day all over again. Thank you so much! Love Mr and Mrs Howe xx

When I think of the perfect Autumn wedding I immediately think of Kayleigh and Will’s Day at the beautiful Jesmond Dene House. The light was so soft and hazy and the sun was low giving the most beautiful dreamy images. Add to this the lovely couple and an amazing set of guests and it really was the perfect day!

One of my favourite images is of Kay walking down the aisle with the sun streaming down on her, highlighting the dust particles like glitter, while her family watch her and Will’s family are all turned to see his reaction. This is one of the main reasons that I absolutely love natural light photography, the effects just can’t be reproduced and it is magical to capture.

Sadie & Jon’s Doxford Barns Wedding

“Having Alice do our wedding photography was without a doubt one of the best decisions we made with regards to our wedding. Alice is absolutely lovely and from the moment we met her we knew she was the type of person we wanted to photograph our wedding. Alice even managed to make my husband enjoy the photos and he usually hates having his photos taken so that is quite a talent! Alice took all the “stress” away about organising group photos too. Loads of our guests commented on how lovely she was! We genuinely had a great day with her!

We were then totally blown away when we saw our taster photos the day after the wedding – they were more than we could of dreamed for. Alice managed to capture all the emotion and detail.

I would recommend Alice hands down to anyone.”

Sadie & Jon

Sadie and Jon were one for he happiest, most down-to-earth couples that I have ever had the pleasure to work with. They made my job so much fun and it was a shame to have to leave in the evening! I love how relaxed the day was and the beautiful surroundings of Doxford Barns was the perfect setting. This is one of my favourite weddings from 2018!

The Best of 2017

2017 has been my busiest year yet with more weddings than ever! I have been back to old favourite venues such as Newton Hall, Matfen Hall, Beamish Hall Hotel and Crook Hall and Gardens as well as some exciting new places for me; the beautiful Hexham Winter Gardens (more weddings here please!), Eshott Hall and The South Causey Inn. I also have become a recommended supplier to Doxford Barns and will be back there several times over the next year.

There have been so many lovely weddings and so much love and happiness, going through all the photos from the year to pick my favourites is so hard and it reminds me of how lucky I am to work with such amazing couples and be a part of the happiest days of their lives.

On a personal front, this year has been wonderful as I have been blessed with a new addition to my family. Baby Penny arrived safely this December and I would like to thank all of the couples whose weddings I attended with a baby bump for not being put off by the idea of a pregnant photographer, you are all wonderfully kind and considerate.

So happy New Year to you all, I can’t wait to be back celebrating love in spring 2018! Here are my favourite photos from 2017 I hope that you enjoy them as much as I have.

Beamish Hall Hotel Wedding Photography – Sam & Ally

Sam and Ally were married at Beamish Hall Hotel on a beautiful Autumnal day in October. This was one of the most relaxed and fun weddings I have been to and such fun to photograph. They used the time of year for inspiration for their decorations with pine cone place settings, a leaf guest book, emerald green touches and pheasant feathers in the bouquet! I love the light at this time of year and we were lucky to get a break in the drizzle to get some beautiful shots in the soft evening light after the wedding breakfast. Here is my selection of favourites from the day.
