I had the pleasure of meeting up with Grant and Katie recently at Blackfriars in Newcastle city centre for some engagement photos ahead of their wedding next year. The restaurant dates back to 1239 and is a favourite spot of the couple as they went for a meal the night that they got engaged! We had a wander around the very pretty (if a bit cold) little courtyard and they had a chance to get used to the camera before the big day. I can’t wait to see them again for the wedding next year!
Archives for Engagements
It is always fun to go somewhere new to shoot, especially when it is as gorgeous as Jesmond Dene park in the heart of Newcastle! Such a beautiful spot in the heart of the city, with loads of interesting backdrops to chose from. I met up with Amanda and Andy along with their lovely boy Lewis and new puppy Hiccup for a wander around the park in preparation for their wedding in a just a couple of weeks time. An engagement shoot is such a fun way to get used to the camera and be all the more relaxed on the wedding day! I can’t wait for the big day soon!
I hope you enjoy this selection of my favourite shots, the full set is on the portfolio website here.
A few weeks ago I was in Nottingham to visit my newly engaged sister and her fiancé, and to do an engagement shoot for them of course! We spent the morning at the stunning Wollaton Hall and Deer Park where not only do they spend time at the weekend, it was the location of Dave’s proposal. I am probably a bit biased but I love these shots, their happiness really shines through and I can’t wait for the wedding!
Here is a selection of the best bits, see the full set on the portfolio site by clicking here.
I love a beach photography shoot, and this one for Nikki and Anthony’s engagement at Seaham was so much fun. On a weekend that was riddled with storm and flood warnings, we were blessed with a dry afternoon and bizzarely-sunshine! Little Francesca was pretty unimpressed with having her photograph taken but was very pleased with ice cream after lots of paddling in the sea. It was such a pleasure to photograph this lovely, happy family, I am so looking forward to the wedding next year!
