I have had an amazing first year of business and have to say a massive thank you to all the lovely couples who have allowed me to photograph their engagements and weddings in 2013. There have been so many happy memories and moments of hilarity, humility, nervousness and best of all – love!
Below are what I think of as the best moments of 2013, and 2014 is looking to be even busier with lots of bookings already, I can’t wait! There are still some dates available so, if you are engaged and planning your wedding in Durham or the North East, get in touch.
My last wedding of 2013 was for Joanne and Thomas at St Edmund’s church in Sedgefield followed by the reception at Jersey Farm Hotel near Barnard Castle, and what a great wedding day it was! It is always a pleasure to photograph these two and by the end of the night my face was sore from smiling all day! There was some of the best bridal hair I’ve seen, amazing speeches, a pork pie cake and a surprise performance from the hen party ‘hens’! Congratulations again to the happy couple and thank you to all their friends and family for making me feel so welcome and a part of the wedding. I hope you all enjoy the pictures.

This evening I have the pleasure of sharing some photos from the wedding celebration of Samantha and Phillip.
After many years together this lovely couple threw the most perfect wedding reception at The Elephant on the Tyne in Gateshead, having been married in Gretna Green the day before.
There were so many gorgeous vintage details that I was spoilt for choice of shots, and they were blessed with glorious sunshine which thankfully they didn’t mind staring into while I got the group shots done on the terrace! I hope you enjoy this selection of shots!
It seemed the gods were smiling down on Sarah and Tony for their wedding day, as it was the first sunny day after a week of heavy rain. The whole day had a wonderful happy feeling with a lovely intimate ceremony in the spacious and stunning Durham Cathedral! The bridal preparations were at The Victoria Inn so I couldn’t resist getting a few shots of the stunning bride at the bar, which certainly raised a few eyebrows with the regulars! The mood for the reception was so lively and fun and following the meal everyone changed into their trainers to ceilidh the night away! I hope you enjoy the photos:
