Rock My Wedding – Libby & Paul

I started reading/obsessing the wedding blog Rock My Wedding when I was planning my own wedding, so I was over the moon when I got an email from them asking to feature Libby and Paul’s wedding. This was my first feature on an external wedding blog and it was so cool to see my photos on such a popular site! I am lucky enough to have since had another feature which you can read about here.

Libby and Paul are such a cool couple, both with design backgrounds I knew that their wedding would look amazing, and it did! They were married at the beautiful Newburgh Priory in North Yorkshire and had a country garden theme, with a clear roofed marquee in the priory ruins. The centrepieces included real tree branches complete with cute little birds nestled in them. Libby looked amazing in a Jenny Packham beaded gown and a veiled headpiece.

I could go on and on about this wedding day, but instead, just follow the link below to the article and lots of photos!

Yorkshire Wedding Photography – Libby & Paul

Yorkshire wedding photographer Libby and Paul

As a photographer, you can’t really wish for a better wedding day than Libby and Paul’s; the sun shone, the Yorkshire countryside was stunning and the couple were so happy! Libby looked amazing and her flare for design was evident throughout the day, with so many touches that were personal to them both (always a sign of a good wedding).

Newburgh Priory near Coxwold in North Yorkshire is fast becoming one of my favourite wedding venues. The house has so much charm and elegance and with 40 acres of private lawns, woods and a lake all set within an area of outstanding natural beauty it is a wonderfully private setting for either a relaxed or more formal wedding day. Libby and Paul were married in the larger drawing room followed by a drinks reception on the magnificent lawn with the house as a backdrop. It was then on to the speeches and wedding breakfast in a¬†clear marquee set within the ruins of the priory’s old long gallery, which felt like walking into a garden! Complete with beautiful centrepieces of branches adorned with birds and blue skies overhead. The day was finished with some sunset couple shots by the lake and dancing into the night!

Enjoy this selection of photos from the day, the full set can be found here.
