As a photographer, you can’t really wish for a better wedding day than Libby and Paul’s; the sun shone, the Yorkshire countryside was stunning and the couple were so happy! Libby looked amazing and her flare for design was evident throughout the day, with so many touches that were personal to them both (always a sign of a good wedding).
Newburgh Priory near Coxwold in North Yorkshire is fast becoming one of my favourite wedding venues. The house has so much charm and elegance and with 40 acres of private lawns, woods and a lake all set within an area of outstanding natural beauty it is a wonderfully private setting for either a relaxed or more formal wedding day. Libby and Paul were married in the larger drawing room followed by a drinks reception on the magnificent lawn with the house as a backdrop. It was then on to the speeches and wedding breakfast in a clear marquee set within the ruins of the priory’s old long gallery, which felt like walking into a garden! Complete with beautiful centrepieces of branches adorned with birds and blue skies overhead. The day was finished with some sunset couple shots by the lake and dancing into the night!
